Adam lives in the East Bethesda neighborhood of downtown Bethesda with his wife Nina, an avid runner and lover of her COVID dogs Tucker and Rosie! For over 20 years she has been a Public Defender attorney in Washington, DC doing educational advocacy on behalf of children. They have three children Annie, Owen and Nate and Adam is actively involved in his children’s sports teams and in the Bethesda community where he works and lives. He is the founder of the Bethesda Elementary Fun Run which raises money for the school. He was also instrumental in the fundraising of nearly $50,000 during the pandemic from the Bethesda community to place food orders with local restaurants and have it delivered to local hospital workers. Fun Facts
- I spent my early 20's living in Aspen Colorado and doing my favorite activity snowboarding! I have been snowboarding for over 25 years and every year a group of friends and I pick a new mountain to challenge us. All of my children are avid snowboarders! I also spent many nights (over 150 shows!) seeing my favorite band Phish. Watching live music is the best and my friends and I still catch a few shows each year.
- My mid 20's brought me back home to Maryland where I decided to become a dentist which I had always considered in college. I took all the pre-med courses, the dental boards and then volunteered with a dentist prior to starting dental school. I then came to the realization that looking into people's mouths all day wasn't for me. I wish I had learned that before taking all the pre--med courses!
- My 30's brought me to Washington, DC where I lived in the bustling neighborhoods of Cleveland Park and Dupont Circle. It also brought me to my wife Nina, who is not only a prolific lawyer and great Mom, but also likes to hike in her spare time. Nina and I had known each other throughout our high school and college years (we never dated-- definitely my loss!). We got married, moved to Bethesda and had our three children.
- Lately I have been realizing how quickly life moves with children as my daughter is now in high school. I have been cherishing every moment with them (even the hard times!) and I will never miss any of their activities or watching them compete in sports. These are the moments a parent can never get back.
